The launcher comes up, I click "Launch", I see the Sierra logo, Troika, then the "Arcanum loading." screen comes up. The only downside to this strat is that triggers Drakkaw's ultimate would also afflict him with 50 stacks of hex, which is why I included Angorn for his cleaning abilities and ultimate.I bought Arcanum yesterday and played it for ~3 hours after installing some of the recommended mods (the official and unofficial patch). This combination turns Drakkaw into an absolute hex bomb, able to stack 50-60+ stacks of hex in a single turn, and ignoring shield. I gave him Warlock's Mantle to double hex stacks on targets without any, Sindra's Devourer to double debuffs again, and Obsidian Ring to stack 2 hex stacks for each void card played. Drakkaw's passive ability is very powerful in combination with certain artifacts and blessings. That was fun but I eventually got bored of it, so I made a new party with Angorn for cleansing/healing, Lazaar as an offensive tank, and Drakkaw as dps. On hard difficulty on the final boss fight, my backlash was hitting the boss for 150+ and Tara was untouchable from all the poison-to-shield stacks she was generating. Templar's Pauldron makes backlash deal critical damage, Venomancer's Wand applies 2 poison whenever you cast a nature card on a target, and Warden's Hood gives you shield for every poison stack you apply. This was my poison+backlash setup, where I would stack poison with Tara+Angorn, and stack Backlash with Shinzo+Angorn. For instance, my go-to "lol wtf" build for a long time was Angorn, Shinzo, and Tara. The game allows for a lot of experimentation in terms of party composition, but often you need certain artifacts and heirlooms in order to really make your strategy work.
